A lone nut becomes a first leader if he has a follower who is nut
Everyone should be a leader, glorifying the collective only fosters dependence and places excess power in those few that think for themselves
After the Sivers talk, why do they advertise the oil industry which destroys Mother Earth? Is the TED Talk about presenting progressive and uplifting ideas and soon after that going back to the primitive actions?!?!?!?!?
A beautiful use of the video and the thought :).. Damn cool 🙂
Great!! Simple way to evoke the importance of something so huge.
It’s so impressive!!
People trace the passionate and inspiration people
I love the lecture. but anyone else see that cheesey OIL ad at the end? Terrible.
AWESOME!!!
Where did the second half of this video come from??? The talk by Derek Sivers only lasts 3 minutes; after that almost another 3 minutes is about Repsol and IBM and how to find more fossil fuel! Not happy TED!
I have laughed over this video numerous times before, but this perspective was certainbly an eye-opener.
is there a video on youtube of the one playing in the background with the dancing people?
This is horrible! Is oil meant to be taken out of the Earth, or is oil buried many miles in the Earth for a reason?
I am a nut too
I don’t think I’ll accomplish my intended revolution by that, but at least it gave me some motivation to be more proud of my ideas – even in 3 minutes already.
I was definitely there for the video in the beginning. It’s from Sasquatch 2013 and it was definitely an awesome trip!!
Groovy
How stupid that guy sounds saying “the challenge is to find more oil”
“earths needs”, no. human needs! and often human greeds
Love I’m in love with this ahhgjh💛💚💙💜❤️
Wth was that IBM ad about though?!?
Pretty much saying let me keep abusing the earth for the earth (us)

Voila all the followers ‘oh you were wonderful”…Pffffffffffft!!. It’s not leadership, it’s psychopathy ……
keep it in the soil can’t drink oil !!!!
久しぶりに見返しつつ、最近の勉強会やセミナーではこの内容について「もう一回よく理解して実践しましょう」と話すこと多いです(^^v
Perhaps the lone nut doesn’t want to be leader to an unknown movement with invisible followers that might include some cruel, hostile ones who insists on being abusive through subtle insults, threat, and humiliation. Your talk is neither inspiring nor motivating. I’m sorry I don’t learn that way. If anything, it just reinforces all the reasons the lone nut had for walking away. From the start, I sensed your hate before I even knew and did whatever it is you hated me for. I wonder sometimes if I would have reacted differently and cooperated better if you just treated me with an ounce of respect and a little less hostility. I wonder if your disdain for me came from an action I did in the future, that was actually my reaction to the hostility you’ve shown me. For what it’s worth, I think these kind of talks you guys do, doesn’t help the “movement”. You say it’s not about me? I’m sorry but my humanity counts and I will not tolerate any form of abuse and disrespect. If your daughter, sister, or mother were in my shoes, you’d probably be singing a different tune. I guess not everyone is cable of empathy, yet I’m the one accused of not caring for others? How can I when my mind and spirit is so busy worrying and dodging your relentless slings and arrows? And I’d rather not blindly join any movements right now coz I feel that I should not go anywhere I’m not welcomed.
I’d like to be of help, but not until you’re able to show transparency and be able to communicate with me more directly rather than in codes as if I’m invisible.
For now, I bid you farewell and I wish for you, and for ME too, a life of peace, happiness, and abundance. 🌍🌿
Oil companies suck! Booo!!!!!!
what a pretentious dipshit, kill urself
this makes me want to join
Just some kids at a gig in the sunshine starting to dance….
Disliked for the stupid oil ad in the 2nd half.
Love the clever and humourous way starting ‘a movement’ is presented. Shared with members of https://www.facebook.com/groups/1407510192638534/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED
